Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website. The Village of Orwell is located in Ashtabula County, in northeast Ohio, within the region known as the Grand Valley. Incorporated on March 27, 1921, Orwell is the economic hub and Southwest Gateway to Ashtabula County.

10am Citizen of The Year Brunch and Ceremony Sponsored by The Old Brick held in Orwell at St Mary Hall
12pm Opening Ceremony @ Chaffe Park (this includes Posting of the Colors by Orwell Memorial Post 719 of the American Legion assisted by Boy Scout Troop 72 followed by prayer given by Tim May, The National Anthem played by Tim Carlson followed by speech given by Tom Jones along with the introduction to our Citizen of The Year by Gary Hunter)
12:30-1:30pm Front Porch Discussion @ Chaffee Park
12:30-4pm Chicken Dinners Orwell Fire Department Firemen/Auxiliary (Pre-sale tickets available w/limited tickets at door)
4-7pm Music in the Park “Andy’s Last Band” @ Chaffee Park
8pm Fireworks- Grand Valley School (Rain date will be Sunday, if raining Sunday, a further date will be determined

Unless posted otherwise, all meetings are held at the village hall, 179 West Main Street, Orwell.
Work sessions are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.
Regular council meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.
Planning commission meetings in 2021 will be held on the forth Wednesday of the month at 1 p. The only exception to this rule is the month of November when the meeting will be held on the 17th.
Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are held on an as needed basis.

The Village of Orwell Police Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for full and part time patrol officers. Applicants should be 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma ore equivalent, valid Ohio Driver’s License and be a graduate of an Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission approved basic academy.
